在5G核心網路中,使用者位置資訊並不是核心網路本身能夠直接取得的資料。UE的即時網路位置來自無線存取側,尤其是目前為使用者提供服務的gNB。gNB能夠知道UE正在使用哪個小區、該小區屬於哪個追蹤區域,以及應如何把無線側位置向核心網路上報。因此,ULI(即使用者位置資訊)是5GC信令中的重要參數。

ULI由gNB透過NGAP信令傳送給AMF,為核心網路提供註冊、移動性管理、工作階段處理、策略控制、服務路由和應用能力開放所需的位置參考。在工程實務中,ULI並不是街道層級的定位結果,而是由TAI、NR CGI等無線存取識別碼構成的網路位置身分。這些識別碼讓5G核心網路能在追蹤區域和小區層級判斷UE所在位置。

ULI如何到達核心網路

ULI的上報方向是從gNB到AMF。gNB會在多種N2訊息中攜帶ULI參數,使AMF取得UE目前的網路側位置。這一點非常重要,因為AMF的決策取決於UE位於何處、屬於哪個追蹤區域,以及是否需要進行移動性更新或註冊更新。

多種NGAP訊息都可以攜帶ULI,包括PDU Session Resource Release Response、PDU Session Resource Modify Response、PDU Session Resource Notify、UE Context Release Complete、UE Context Modification Response、RRC Inactive Transition Report、Handover Notify和Path Switch Request。對NAS傳輸而言,有兩個訊息尤其重要:Initial UE MessageUplink NAS Transport。由於這些訊息承載5G NAS信令,AMF可以在NAS相關程序中取得UE的即時位置資訊。

這種設計把位置上報邏輯保留在靠近無線網路的一側。gNB觀察目前服務小區,並透過NGAP轉送相關識別碼;AMF隨後把這些資訊納入更完整的移動性和工作階段上下文。

NR ULI包含哪些內容

ULI定義了不同的位置類型選項。整體而言,它可以在NSA相關場景中包含E-UTRA ULI,也可以在SA相關場景中包含NR ULI。在5G獨立組網中,重點是NR ULI。

NR ULI主要由兩部分組成:5G TAINR CGI,後者也稱為NCGI。TAI識別追蹤區域,NCGI則在全球範圍內識別特定NR小區。兩者結合後,可以同時向核心網路提供UE的追蹤區域上下文和無線小區上下文。

TAI由MCC + MNC + TAC構成。MCC和MNC用於識別PLMN,TAC用於識別追蹤區域。透過這項結構,網路可以把UE關聯到正確的電信業者網路和追蹤區域。追蹤區域概念承襲自4G,但在5G移動性管理中仍然十分重要。

NCGI由PLMN識別碼和NCI組成。NCI即NR Cell Identity,長度為36位元,其中包含gNB ID和Cell ID。由於gNB ID長度可變,Cell ID的長度取決於分配給gNB ID的位元數。例如,當gNB ID長度為24位元時,剩餘的Cell ID長度為12位元。工程師在解讀小區身分值或計算NCI與NCGI時,需要理解這種關係。

不同區域之間的關係

註冊區域、追蹤區域、gNB和小區之間的關係,是理解5G移動性的核心。一個小區只屬於一個基地台,同時也只屬於一個追蹤區域。一個追蹤區域可以包含多個基地台和多個小區。依據無線規劃方式,同一個gNB下的不同小區也可以被分配到不同的追蹤區域。

AMF服務區域由多個追蹤區域組成。在這項服務範圍內,AMF可以依據策略為不同UE分配不同的註冊區域。一個註冊區域可以包含一個或多個追蹤區域。它在概念上類似4G使用的TA List,但應用於5G核心網路的移動性上下文。

註冊區域的作用是在保持UE可達的同時避免不必要的信令。如果UE在已分配的註冊區域內移動,每次切換小區時都不需要觸發移動性註冊更新。如果UE移出該區域,就需要啟動MRU,也就是Mobility Registration Update程序。

以使用者搭乘捷運跨區移動為例。如果AMF為使用者分配了包含TA1的註冊區域,而使用者從TA1中的gNB移動到TA2中的gNB,就越過了已分配的註冊邊界。即使AMF沒有改變,由於註冊區域已經變更,UE仍需要執行MRU。

位置資料會傳遞到哪裡

AMF從gNB接收到ULI後,多個5G核心網路功能都可以使用該位置資訊。AMF是第一個接收上報位置的核心網路功能。之後,位置相關資訊可依網路設計共享給SMF用於工作階段管理、共享給PCF用於策略決策,也可傳遞給面向應用的功能。

典型信令路徑可以表示為gNB → AMF → SMF → PCF。PCF可以為電信業者自有的應用功能提供策略處理,例如IMS相關場景中的P-CSCF。另一條路徑可在符合開放規則和服務權限時,透過NEF把資訊開放給第三方應用功能。

ULI相關資訊也可能參與使用者面服務開放。例如,SMF可以與UPF互動,而在某些服務設計中,UPF可以面向第三方應用執行HTTP Header Enrichment。這並不表示每個應用都會自動取得完整位置資料,而是說明5G架構定義了可供策略、工作階段和應用功能使用網路側使用者位置資訊的路徑。

從技術閱讀和SEO表達角度,最重要的結論很明確:ULI始於gNB,經AMF進入核心網路,之後可以影響移動性、工作階段、策略和服務開放邏輯。TAI說明追蹤區域位置,NCGI說明NR小區身分,而註冊區域邏輯決定UE何時必須透過MRU上報移動變化。
